What kind of information is collected?

Due to the nature of the services provided by nevy.xyz (especially the Jawsome - Fediverse and Matrix), the information you shared or provided in the public areas may be viewed by other users, inside or outside our services, and irreversibly distributed, saved and processed outside the services that we provide.

Do we share your information with third parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties (such as hosting providers) who assist us in operating our site and services or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.

We may also release your information when it is needed to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.

Our websites may include links to the third party websites and services. Please excercise caution and review the privacy policies of the respective webistes and services.

Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow). These cookies enable the site to recognize your browser and, if you have a registered account, associate it with your registered account.

We use cookies to understand and save your preferences for future visits.

What is our data retention policy?

We will make a good faith effort to:

• Retain the usage data containing the IP address of all requests to the services provided by nevy.xyz, in so far as such logs are kept, no more than 90 days.
• Retain the IP addresses associated with registered users no more than 12 months.

You can request and download an archive of your content, including your posts, media attachments, profile picture and header image.

You may irreversibly delete your account from any of our services at any time.

Encryption

Some of our services offer encryption of the data. Encryption makes the data unreadable to anyone, that doesn't posess the encryption key, with which the data was encrypted.

We will under no circumstances store the encryption keys on our servers. You as a user of our services are solely responsible to backup your encryption keys. It is technically impossible for us to recover the encrypted data, to which the encryption key was lost.

We are not responsible for the data loss due to lost encryption keys and we will not attend any request connected to recovery of the encrypted data.

Your personal data security

The security of your personal data is important to us, but keep in mind, that no method of communication over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We take great care to protect your personal data, but we cannot guarrantee its absolute security.

Excercise caution and keep your digital footprint minimal. Do not disclose your password, encryption keys or any other piece of private information to anyone, treat them as confidential and store it securely

Children privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us. If we become aware, that we have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 16, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Using our services under the age of 16 without parent or guardian consent may result in the termination of the account.

Sunset policy

We don't guarantee, that the services we provide or any content on the services will always be available or the access to them will be uninterrupted.

At any time we may make a decision to suspend, restrict or permanently stop providing one or more services.

We will provide you with an information about such decision at least three months before, through an e-mail, a notice on our homepage and/or a notice inside of the service.
